1967 FERRARI 330 GTC Coupe
Chassis Number: 10157
Registration Number: PHR45F
A well known & fully restored example that has passed thougfh the hands of both Talacrest & Hendon Way motors in the past. This car was originally delivered in August 1967 to Maranello Concessionaires as a UK demonstrator vehicle. This is a very rare car being one of just 22 examples produced in Right Hand Drive.
The 4-litre 330's were available in two alternative body styles - Coupe (GTC) or Spyder (GTS). The 330 GTC frame was designated Tipo 592. These chassis's were outwardly very similar to those already used on Ferrari's 275 GTB being a traditional tubular steel chassis. Hydraulic disc brakes were fitted all-round along with fully independent suspension. Borrani's beautiful ten-hole cast alloy wheels were standard although spoked wheels from the same manufacturer were optionally available.
Engine-wise the GTC used Ferrari's twin cam four-litre Tipo 209/66 60° V12. Power was quoted by the factory as being 300bhp at 7000rpm with three twin choke Weber 40 carburettors. The engine was matched by a five-speed gearbox. Performance was impressive with a car reaching 0-60 in under 6.5 seconds whilst top speed was in excess of 150mph. Despite its mix of old and new features, the 330 GTC was quite simply among the best-looking GT's of its era. With a laid back style, it was never as confrontational as some of Ferrari's jaw-dropping berlinetta's - this was a car for the customer who neither desired nor required an attention-grabbing machine. Electric windows were fitted as standard along with a full leather interior and comfortably padded rather than figure hugging bucket seats. Air conditioning was an optional extra.
This 330 is finished in unmarked metallic silver paintwork to the exterior. Inside is rich Burgundy leather in like new condition. Matching maroon carpets are found under foot.
The car was purchased fully restored in to the current collection where it has resided for some years covering few miles but being regularly serviced by the collections in house mechanic. The car comes with its original much thumbed Ferrari handbook & also a service manual. To the boot is found a full tool kit & jack in their correct holders. An Auto Italia magazine also comes with the car featuring it on the front cover.
This 330 has covered a documented 86754 miles from new & is a matching numbers car. It is fully Classiche red book certified by Ferrari & as such is a blue chip investment car. Viewings are by appointment in Belfast Northern Ireland.
