Chassis Number: 2777

Registration Number: YTA358E

• Less than 2,500 miles since a nut and bolt restoration
• Engine rebuilt to fast road specification by Bill Richards
• Supplied with Heritage Certificate confirming it an original Cooper S

The Mini Cooper S remains one of the most influential and recognisable performance cars ever produced. Born from the collaboration between John Cooper and the British Motor Corporation, the Cooper S transformed the humble Mini into a giant-killing motorsport icon, achieving success on rally stages and race circuits around the world. Today, genuine Cooper S examples are highly sought-after. Offered here is a rare Australian-market Morris Mini Cooper S, presented in attractive blue coachwork with a contrasting white roof which is complemented by its distinctive blue and grey Cooper S interior. Accompanying the car is a Heritage Certificate confirming it as an original Cooper S built for the Australian market.

Imported from New Zealand in 2012, the Mini has had just three previous UK owners since arrival and benefits from a comprehensive file of paperwork including manuals, invoices, receipts and restoration records. Prior to the current vendor's four-year ownership, the car underwent a full nut and bolt restoration to an exceptional standard, including a complete engine rebuild by renowned Mini specialist Bill Richards. The engine was upgraded to 1293cc fast-road specification, producing in excess of 100bhp through twin SU carburettors, providing performance well beyond that of a standard Cooper S.

Remarkably, the Mini has covered less than 2,500 miles since completion of the restoration and continues to present beautifully today. The paintwork retains an excellent finish, the interior remains exceptionally well presented and the underside is  virtually as impressive as the bodywork above. This mini is a joy both to own and drive; this Cooper S combines outstanding provenance, impressive performance and superb presentation.A rare opportunity to acquire a genuine Australian-market Cooper S restored to an exceptional standard and ready to be enjoyed by its next custodian.
