1924 Bentley 3 Litre VDP Tourer Speed model

Chassis Number:  807

Registration Number:  KU5155

A desirable early speed model as delineated by its red radiator Bentley B & twin sloper carburettors.  The car wears Vanden Plas Body number 1087; an open tourer configuration that was erected upon the chassis when the car was new.  It is still in its original colours of eggshell finish black paint along with a polished aluminium bonnet.  Chassis rails & running gear is red.

The car was originally used up until 1954 at which time it was laid up & remained slumbering for some 35 years.   upon being re-awakened a thorough rebuild was undertaken of the mechanics & since then the car has successfully attended rallies as far afield as France, Australia & New Zealand along with more local runs.

The Bentley chassis records show the car having been maintained up though 1939 with detailed notes on the Bentley chassis record.

On the road the car drives well with ample power & an engine that makes all the right noises.  It is plenty fast & an easy car to drive with light positive steering.  The hood easily erects & a full length tonneau cover comes with the car.
