1970 Jensen Interceptor FF

Chassis number: 127250

Registration Number: BGK55H

A close to concours example of this rare model from Jensen; this car is number 250 out of 320 examples produced.  The letters FF stand for Ferguson Formula, after Ferguson Research Ltd., who invented the car's four-wheel drive system. The FF is related to the similar-looking, rear-wheel drive Jensen Interceptor, but is 127 mm (5.0 in) longer, and mechanically very different.

Powered by 6.3 litre Chrysler V8 driving through a three speed torqueFlite gearbox.

Designed by Touring in Italy, a car ahead of its time both in styling and function. An Italian masterpiece with an American heart and an entirely British soul.  When new the FF  price was high — about 30% higher than the standard  Jensen Interceptor.

The FF may be distinguished from the Interceptor by a few styling cues, the most obvious being the twin (rather than single) diagonal air vents on the front wing, just rear of the wheel-arches. The frontal appearance was revised in September 1968.

Only coupés were made; there were no convertibles.

The car is finished in flawless dark metallic blue with biscuit interior and chromed Rostyle wheels.

Car is resplendent having been fastidiously maintained as part of a private collection.  The car benefits from the following recent works: New front and rear screen rubbers, New fittings for rear screen trim, Rechroming on front screen trim, Repairs to dash, Engine detailing, Refurb of exhaust manifolds, Maxaret braking system sourced and fitted, Brake callipers refurbished, Correct wheel nuts fitted, Front drive shaft boots replaced, Dash repaired etc etc.

This car has resided in an important collection in Ireland & is absolutley of collecors grade & not possible to find fault with.  It starts instandly & has very very ample perfomance form the big V8 engine.  Likewise the gear box is smooth & tractable making for a pleaand driving experience.

Far more rare & desirable then the standard Jensen interceptors, these FF model represent the best of the breed.

Viewings are by appointment near Belfast in Northern Ireland.  We can arrange collection in our covered trailer & delivery to the UK mainland or anywhere else in the world by 20ft shipping container.
