2000 Mercedes SL500 R129 Cabriolet
Vin Number: WDB1290682F177970
Registration Number: W705WRV
This car was ordered with an incredible list of options including a glass roof, Adaptive Damping System (ADS) with Skyhook, Xenon headlights with cleaning equipment, a fire-extinguisher, multi-contour, heated electric seats with memory and pulse functions and an automatically dipping rearview mirror to name but a few. Maintenance duties on this wonderful car have always been carried out at Mercedes-Benz main dealers as seen in the Service Book which now displays a total of 8 stamps and can be found in the car's comprehensive history file along with the related invoices. The black electric roof is in superb condition as is the body-coloured hardtop. Supplied with a fresh MOT until May 2021, four new tyres, a V5C and its complete book pack containing all relevant literature, this very sharp SL500 is now showing some 27,934 miles.
The first stamp in the service book would suggest that the car was ordered, rather glamorously, through the Mercedes-Benz dealer on the Champs-Elysee, Paris, but delivered through Mercedes Benz Puttocks in Guildford, where it received its first service on 11th April 2000 having covered only 20 miles.
Exterior paintwork is unmarked & beautiful Tourmaline Green. To the interior is beige hide thoughout. The hard top lifts off easily once the roof down button is pulled & the 4 retaining latches automatically released. Likeise the black hard top raises at a touch of the same button silently perfoming is choreogaphed sequence of movements.
All in all this is an exceptional car, properly maintained & is ready for immediate use.
