Built in 2015 based on 1972 Jaguar XJ6 4.2 Litre running gear; This car has been correctly registered after having an exhaustive SVA (special Vehicle Approval) test conducted by DVLA.
This car is unique in that it was built as the personal car of Suffolk Jaguar founder Mr Roger Williams. As such it has all the extras one might expect such as a luggage rack & luggage trunk, overdrive, separate extra supportive longer seat cushions to alternate with the more traditional looking ones found on original cars etc.
The car is resplendent in very dark green metallic with green leather & carpets to the interior. The windshield folds flat & twin aero screens mount into place for bugs in the teeth style motoring. An unused black hood sits under the hood bag but has never been put up by the current owner of some few years whom uses the car in clement weather only. When not in use they stow in black mohair bags located in the rear storage locker along with the tonneau cover & wheel hammer, jack, basic tools and side screens
Possibly the best part about the car is the driving experience. The 4.2 Litre twin cam straight six provides exhilerating perfomance when pushed hard yet is smooth & relaxed at high cruising speeds when the overdrive is deployed. I once drove its twin non stop from Barcelona to the UK & can attest to their suitabilty for long disance touring. Unlike the originals the car has ample leg room for those of taller stature.
The car sits on four painted wire wheels (as per original cars) with knock off chrome spinners. A 5th spare wheel is mounted to the back. This is a car that wants for nothing & is ready for immediate use having been painstakingly correctly registered. The Black & silver Q plate is unobtrusive & has a vintage appearance. A full set of build sheets & instructions come with the car along with assorted bills for keeping it in tip top order.
