Coming to us from a deceased estate under long term ownership; the late gentleman onwer purchased this car in 1989 with an odometer reading of 124,000 miles. During the last more then three decades the car has covered 23,000 further miles bringing the toal since new to 147,000.
The car has been maintained without regard to expense with a large file of service bills attesting to the works done. This includes a full gear box rebuild in 2010 & as a result the gear changes are smooth & seamless like when new.
The exterior sand over sable paint is presentable with one or two small areas of reaction & the car has been priced accordingly to reflect this. To the inside is original red leather in decent order but has cracked though in a couple of places on the drivers seat & would benefit from having a couple of patches glued in underneath the cracks. The car was fitted from new with picnic tables to the rear & a rare factory sun roof.
The car is a very nice driver starting readily & proceeding down the road in a stately & unruffled manner with the engine being a paragon of smoothness. A full original tool kit is found in the boot in its appointed place. The boot floor & underside are absolutely sound as the car has lived in a motor house & not been used during inclement weather or on salty roads. It is thus very corrosion free & way way better then average for one of these.
If you are the knid of buyer who comes to inspect a car minutely & point out every blemish, then please do not come to view it. If however you are looking for a presentable beautifully maintained lightly patinated car then this one may be for you. Most of its usage in recent years has been for an easy drive taking several days to the south of France to escape the English winter. Used as such it is in its element & will give many years of continued service.
