1973 Bentley T Type Corniche Convertible
Chassis number: DBH14439
Registration Number: NBL100L
Purchased by the current owner when the car was 10 years old in 1983; he has owned it ever since & looked after it extremely well with annual services being performed & anything needing doing being immediately done. He was the 4th owner of the car with "To the Manor Born" star the late Peter Bowles being among the previous owners as witnessed by assorted correspondence between them. The car also features prominently in the book: "A pride of Bentleys" a copy of which comes with the car.
The Bentley has been used regularly but sparingly withmany trips completed to the owners house in St Tropez for the summer season. During its life it has clocked up 115,000 miles & is in perfect running condition starting readily & idling impercetibly. Gear changes are smooth & everything works as it ought; a reflection of the proper servicing the car has received.
Exterior paint is the original colour of Silver Mink; a colour well suited to the car. The interior leather is dark blue in very good order along with burr walnut woodwork. A new hood & hood bag in blue mohair have also been installed.
Always garaged the car has formed part of a small private collection & is now being sold due to the advancing age of the owner & the need to down size his residence. Masses of bills come with the car & the cars ownership chain from new is known with correspondence from former onwerrs & in the case of the first owner, his widow.
This is a rare car to find in an even rarer colour & benefits from careful long term ownership. It is beautifully preserved & ready for immediate long distance touring in the manner of a grand routier & wants for nothing.
